The CCCCC earlier today launched at COP 26, the newly adopted Strategic Implementation Plan (SIP) which aims to position the Centre to enhance its relevance, effectiveness, and efficiency in coordinating the region’s response to climate change. The SIP, which was presented by Dr Colin Young, Executive Director, articulates the new pathway for improving the capacity to deliver the Institution’s mandate.

Also launched was the Revised Regional Framework for Achieving Development Resilient to Climate Change (RRF) – a regional strategy that represents the aspirational goals of Member States of CARICOM to achieve climate resilience.  This was presented by Head of the Programme Development and Management Unit (PDMU), Mr Keith Nichols.

The third presentation made by Assistant Executive Director, Dr Mark Bynoe provided reflections on the just concluded Resource Management Plan (RMP) – an all-inclusive methodological approach aimed at securing the financial sustainability of the institution.

Among attendees at the presentation were government Ministers, chairperson of the Board of Governors, Ms Una May Gordon, representatives from regional and international agencies, and technical negotiators from Member States of CARICOM.
