A Caribbean Consortium of Youth Organisations, led by the CYEN, currently in attendance at the Youth Summit in Milan (a pre-COP event) have put out an urgent Call for Climate Action for Small Island Developing States (SIDS). In it, they call on world leaders to set ambition targets to keep global ambient temperature increase to below 1.5 Degrees Celsius to minimize severe impacts on SIDS.
“We are adamant in our resolve towards addressing the climate change crisis and will relentlessly demand that the youth constituency be made a meaningful partner in the management of the process”, they noted.
