Did you know that a demand-driven Climate Support Facility (CSF)  was developed under the European Union-funded Intra-ACP Global Climate Change Alliance (GCCA) programme in June 2012?

Eligibility Criteria:

The request must be made by an institution based in an ACP country (African, Caribbean and Pacific group of states). However there is no restriction regarding the legal status of the institution (public, private, university, NGOs, association, etc…).

The assistance requested must fall within at least one of the 5 GCCA priorities :

  • Adaptation
  • Mainstreaming
  • Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM)
  • Reduction of Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+)
  • Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)

The CSF does not provide financial support, but covers all the expenses related to the assistance it provides (experts fees, international travel of the experts, possibility of budget for local travels, possibility of budget for workshop or training venue/material/catering).

The assistance provided is punctual. There is no exact limit regarding the duration of the mission, but  beneficiaries are expected to have the resources to take over the outputs of our mission and integrate them in a larger project/programme.

For more information:

For more information on the CSF and the mission already implemented, peruse the presentation leaflet and the programme’s official website.

The request can be made at any time and the resulting mission can be implemented relatively quickly. To submit a proposal you can either use the online request form or contact Dr Pendo Maro, the ACP Secretariat’s Climate Change expert, at pendomaro@acp.int or +32 495 28 14 94.

The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre coordinates the Caribbean component of the Intra-ACP GGCA Programme.
