ENHANCING CLIMATE RESILIENCE IN CARIFORUM COUNTRIES

This five-year €12-million project is being funded by the European Union (EU) Commission as part of the Intra-ACP GCCA+ Programme in the Caribbean and aims to strengthen the Climate Risk Management Framework in the 16 CARIFORUM member countries. The project will assist member countries to enhance climate observational and monitoring networks, improve and climate-proof water infrastructures while building the capacity of governments and private sector to integrate risk management techniques into development and planning. The project will also support the expansion of educational and outreach programmes

OVERALL OBJECTIVES AND IMPACTS

The overall objective is to support the climate compatible development of the CARIFORUM countries to combat the negative impacts of climate change, while simultaneously exploring opportunities presented. Speak Up! 2021 Art Competition

Citizens and legal residents of 16 CARIFORUM Countries were invited to submit art pieces and messaging on their views regarding climate change. Entrants displaced a colorful array of compelling art that they were most passionate about. Below you’ll find some of the results.

Results Oriented Monitoring Report

The Results Oriented Monitoring (ROM) exercise was undertaken between November and December 2021 with the objective of to providing an external opinion on project implementation in order to support (i) project management by the European Commission’s (EC) Headquarters (HQ) services; and (ii) implementing organizations through advice and recommendations. The exercise was led by Janet Patricia Bedasse.
