The Small Island Developing States across the Caribbean are among the most vulnerable countries in the world. Their small size, open economies, high reliance on natural resources and indebtedness exacerbate their risk to a changing and variable climate.

Since inception, the Centre has executed a suite of programmes that have boosted climate data collection and our ability to predict the region’s climate in the future, capacity building and efforts to include Climate Change into the national development process.

The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre actions have been effective because our work is grounded in a firm regional commitment, policy and strategy.

Our three foundation documents – The Liliendaal Declaration, The Regional Framework for Achieving Development  Resilient to Climate Change and its Implementation Plan are the basis for climate action in the Caribbean.
