Climate and Weather
Climate is how the atmosphere ‘behaves’ over relatively long time periods. The term weather describes atmospheric conditions over a short time period. Climate change means changes in the long-term average of daily weather (see also Gutro Rob (2005). What's the Difference Between Weather and Climate?, NASA Website).
The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre addresses projections of changes in longer-term weather patterns and the consequences of these changes. It studies the various impacts of climate change and deals with mitigation and adaptation strategies.
